Sign-off on every cut. Client review and approvals for video production houses and agencies.

Client changes arrive by email, chat and calls, and nobody is sure which cut is final. With Shotread, clients comment on the frame and approve in steps, without an account. Every version, note and decision stays on record, and the notes reach Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve as markers.

Private beta. The pilot is free: one client project for 30 days, set up with you. Not ready for that? Request access and we will tell you when Shotread opens.

The client's review linkSample data
The client's review link in the demo workspace: the cut stopped at 00:00:41, notes pinned to timecodes under it, and buttons to approve or request changes.

Where client feedback gets lost

Between the first cut and the client's sign-off, the same things go wrong on most projects. This is what Shotread does about each one today.

Changes come in from everywhere

One review link per cut. The client comments on the frame or marks a region of it, and your team's internal notes stay apart from the client's.

Nobody is sure which cut is final

Every version keeps its history, with who uploaded it and when, and the final delivery carries the sign-off.

"This part feels slow", but which part?

Every note carries its timecode, so the editor lands on the moment the client meant.

Clients and freelancers need accounts

Clients and guests review from a link with no account and no password. Client viewers are never billed.

Editors retype notes into the timeline

The notes go out as markers for Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

A bill is questioned and nothing is on record

Each decision is kept with who made it and when, and the review shows how many versions the cut took.

Not solved yet: notes a client sends by WhatsApp or email are still copied in by hand. Every feature and its status: switching from video review tools.

Try it on one client project for 30 days

Keep your editing apps, your storage and your other tools. Run the next cut of one client project through Shotread and compare it with how the last one went. Nothing to move first.

  1. Upload the next cut

Files go from your browser straight to storage. When a browser cannot play a master, a light review copy is made in the browser.

  2. Send the client the link

They comment on the frame and decide in steps, with no account and no password.

  3. Compare at the end

After 30 days we look at the record with you: how many versions each cut took, how long from the first cut to sign-off, and whether any note went missing.

What Shotread does, and what it does not

What it does

  • Keeps each note on its frame and each decision with who made it and when.
  • Shows what a paid AI run will cost before it starts. A run that fails is refunded automatically.
  • Points every AI finding at its evidence: the timestamp, frame, transcript line or metric behind it.
  • Says what moved together in performance analysis, never what caused it: correlation, not cause.

What it does not

  • Handle your video files on its web server. They go from your browser straight to storage.
  • See your own YouTube or Gemini key. It stays in your browser, unless you choose to store one for automated replies.
  • Hold or move money. Payments between you, your clients and your creators go directly between you.
  • Buy ads for you, or download videos from YouTube or other sites.

The rest of the workspace

When the review works for you, the rest of each client's cycle is one click away in the same workspace.

AI that shows its evidence

Advice nobody can check is hard to defend in front of a client. In Shotread, every AI finding points at what it is based on.

Evidence on every finding
The timestamp, frame, transcript line or metric behind it, with a confidence level.
Your key or Shotread credits
AI runs on your own Gemini key from your browser, or on Shotread credits with the estimate first.
Correlation, not cause
Performance analysis says what moved together. It does not claim what caused it.

Where Shotread is today

Built and tested

Shotread is in private beta. Workspaces are opened by invitation, and people invited into a workspace join with a normal sign-in.

Platform connections

Connections to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest and X are built and tested against stand-ins. Each one except X switches on when that platform approves the app; X posting runs on each customer's own X developer app and its paid X API access.

Design partners

We are choosing 5 to 10 production houses and agencies for a free 30-day pilot on one client project, in exchange for feedback and a case study.

Shotread is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
